By using ElecCalc (eleccalc.au), you agree to these terms. ElecCalc is operated by SEY Solutions (ABN 13 531 353 123), based in Adelaide, South Australia.

1. Use of the service

ElecCalc provides free electrical calculation tools for informational and educational purposes. You may use the calculators, guides, PDF export, and calculation history features without charge or registration.

2. Disclaimer of accuracy

All calculation results are provided as guidance only and must not be relied upon as the sole basis for electrical design or installation decisions. Results must be verified by a qualified electrical engineer or Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) before use.

Lookup tables and calculation methods reference AS/NZS 3008.1.1:2025, AS/NZS 3000:2018, IEEE 1584:2018, and other Australian/New Zealand standards. These tables are pending independent validation by a CPEng. Standards are updated periodically and ElecCalc may not reflect the latest amendments at all times.

3. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, SEY Solutions and its contributors are not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or death arising from the use of ElecCalc or reliance on its outputs. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Incorrect cable sizing or protection device selection
  • Non-compliant installations based on calculator outputs
  • Financial loss from design decisions informed by ElecCalc
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

You assume full responsibility for verifying all outputs against the current edition of the relevant Australian/New Zealand standard and obtaining professional engineering sign-off where required.

4. Intellectual property

ElecCalc, its design, code, and content are the intellectual property of SEY Solutions. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute the calculators, guides, or site content without written permission. PDF reports generated by the export feature are for your personal or professional use.

5. Availability

ElecCalc is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The PWA offline feature depends on your browser's service worker cache and may not reflect the latest version of the calculators.

6. Advertising

ElecCalc displays advertisements via Google AdSense. Ad content is determined by Google and is not endorsed by SEY Solutions.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of ElecCalc after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia.
